Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it—he will be blessed in what he does.
James 1:23-25

A very important point about becoming the “new self” – you must beware of pride, projection, and evil selfish desires! These are MAJOR roadblocks that will slow you down. In fact, these can stop you dead in your tracks on this journey and send you quickly back into being the “old self.” Yesterday I mentioned how rapidly you can change your behavior and your direction…so make some fundamental changes TODAY. Lay down pride and become humble and willing to learn from God’s nudging correction. Lay down projection; quit focusing on everyone else and start looking inward at your own heart. Lay down your own selfish desires and “I deserve” attitude so that the Spirit of God – the Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, and joy – can FILL your day!
